Hi I'm Shaun from himandherplusmelegs
Hi I'm Gwen from himandherplusmelegs
His 'legs' are a wheel-chair
Shaun is of course disabled, and to go away on a specialist disabled package holiday is a big expense. Since Shaun and Gwen married in 2003 the sun has found them and they've had some great holidays.
The beach can be a problem, but being abroad you find things can be very different.
In Spain you will always find bus drivers will assist, as will taxi drivers. Hotel staff bend over backwards to help you at the poolside with the sun loungers and beach towels.
At the airport ambulifts area available at both ends, be aware you are either first or last on - the ambulift is a modified lorrie with a walk on/wheel on tail lift.
WARNING!!!!! At some overseas airports you will be given a walking wheel-chair, What is a walking wheel-chair????? I hear you ask - It's exactly that, a modern wheel-chair that can walk down the steps of the aircraft should there be a need to park the plane miles from the airport terminal.
I suppose at this point we should try and say something about British Holidays? that's hard as you are more likely to enjoy holidays abroad with the Sun Sea & Sangria, the weather isn't always that good in the U.K. Some people do enjoy the good old British weather and their experiences of great places to enjoy an acessible, care free holiday in the U.K. can also be found on this website.
Not all the holidays listed on our website have been experienced by ourselves many others have helped build this listing, but we can assure you that there is something fo everyone's tastes on this website.
We hope you enjoy looking at the information on our website as much as we have building it.
