Hotel Mercure Lunar, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
It’s a very large and comfy hotel - for safety reasons they ask that people with a wheelchair have the large rooms near to reception.
There are 2 small steps up to the restaurant area but don’t let this put you off as the staff will all fall over themselves to lift not only you but you and your chair.
The bus goes daily to the beach - again the staff will do all they can to help.
Just down the road is a dolphin pool where, if you book, you can swim with the dolphins (please book there, not through the rep or the hotel - they will rip you off). I had the honour of being the first ever disabled person to do this.
When walking down the main road, please, please walk down the centre reservation - not only will it save your back up and down the very large kerbs, but it will also save the blue taxi's from tooting at you all the time.
